19-Year-Olds Caught Smoking Weed After Traffic Stop

A traffic violation led two Twinsburg 19-year-olds to be cited on drug charges.
A Twinsburg police officer pulled over the car at about 4 a.m. on Feb. 15 on Darrow Road near Heinen's. There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car, according to the police report.
Officers searched the car and found a baggy of marijuana and a marijuana cigarette. There were also six full beer cans in the car.
The driver, 19, from Twinsburg, was cited with possession of marijuana, underage possession of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and not wearing a seatbelt.
The passenger, also 19, from Twinsburg, was cited with marijuana possession.
Both will appear in Stow Municipal Court on Feb. 21. The drugs were taken as evidence.
