Does it feel like Thursday? Only one more day until the weekend starts. And if you're lucky, you might just get a three-day one, too. But today, you have to keep yourself busy. Here are five things Twinsburg Patch thought you might be able to go do:
1. Voice your opinion. The Department of Parks and Recreation will have a meeting at 9:30 a.m. about senior activities and welcome opinions and concerns from members of the community. It will only be a half-hour at the Twinsburg Government Center.
2. Figure out how to pay for college. Twinsburg High School is hosting Doug McNutt from the University of Akron to explain the FAFSA system and will present new information on financial aid. The meeting will be in the high school band room at 7 p.m.
3. Celebrate your teachers. Mavis Winkle's Irish Pub is hosting Teacher Appreciation Day starting at 5:30 p.m. Teachers can come in and let loose with food, drinks, and a 10 percent discount. Just remember teachers: You still have school on Friday.
4. See how Twinsburg is going green. Attend the Environmental Commission Meeting tonight at 7 p.m. You can check out the agenda when we post it later today. Get out and have a say with Twinsburg's environment.
5. Watch some wrestling. We're not talking WWF. We mean the Twinsburg Tigers varsity team. They have a dual meet at Mayfield tomorrow night at 6 p.m. It may require some driving, but the team is pretty good this year so it might be worth it.
