Man Leaves Car on Highway, Comes Back to Handcuffs

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Feb. 7 found an empty car with its hazard lights on sitting on the I-480 westbound exit ramp at SR 82. Officers stopped to assist when the driver approached on foot from the direction of Sheetz gas station. The driver was driving on a suspended license was under suspension and had a baggy of marijuana, a glass pipe, rolling papers, and a grinder in his jeans pockets after he was searched. Also found in the car were several marijuana cigarette butts in the ashtray. The man was charged for driving under suspension, possession of Marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Feb. 6 police stopped a car on I-480 for a following too closely violation. Because they became suspicious about the car, they had the K9 unit search it and found three hypodermic syringes and a spoon with burn marks on it located in the jacket pocket of the back seat passenger, who was
arrested and charged with possessing drug abuse instruments and held on a $500 cash bond. The driver was released with a verbal
warning for the traffic violation.

On Feb. 7 police stopped a car on a routine traffic violation. The driver was found to be driving under three open suspensions. He also had an outstanding warrant out of Garfield Heights Police Department. The driver was arrested and held at the Twinsburg jail on a $500 cash bond.

On Feb. 8 during a traffic stop a female passenger was arrested for a warrant she had through another department. The male driver and other female passenger were sent on their way.

On Feb. 8 police arrested a 28-year-old Florida woman for an outstanding warrant with police department in Florida. She was brought into custody to be picked up by the Floridia police department.
