Booze Burglary: Man Shoves Liquour Bottles in Pockets at Giant Eagle

A 20-year-old Shaker Heights was caught stealing alcohol at the Darrow Road store

On Sept. 7, Twinsburg Police were called into the Giant Eagle grocery store on Darrow Road when a shoplifter had been caught in the store and was being held in the office.

A 20-year-old Shaker Heights man was seen by store security putting two bottles of liquor in each of his front pants pockets, and casually leaving the store. Security approached him and was brought back into the store when police arrived.

Officers found the man had a warrant from Twinsburg for failing to appear in court. He was arrested for the warrant and also charged with underage possession of alcohol.
