The Twinsburg boys cross country team is running in the right direction... To Columbus.
For the first time in school history, the Tigers cross country team will compete in the OHSAA Division I State Championship.
Led by state qualifiers Jake Sherer, Chris Reed, Nick Schank, Ryan Scanlon, Garrett Crichlow, Matt Andrews, and Josh Gogan, the team has been running hard all season.
They earned a championship spot in the field of 16 teams by finishing third at the regional championships at Boardman last Saturday.
Twinsburg High School is preparing a spirit bus to take students to Columbus for the meet.
For $20 any student wanting to support the team can get a spot on the bus.
