Two basketball coaches were issued minor misdemeanor citations for disorderly conduct after they get into a fight during a youth basketball game in Twinsburg — and readers aren't happy about the situation.

According to police, one of the coaches threw the other coach to the ground at Edge Sports Performance Academy in Twinsburg Jan. 26. One of the coaches is from Strongsville.

Police officers said there was blood on the right hand and nose of one of the coaches.

Here's what a few people on the Twinsburg Patch Facebook had to say about the incident:

• "I am so glad these two were not from Twinsburg but how horrible that those kids had to see this..SHAME SHAME to these two fools!!!Way to lead by example huh??DISGUSTING!!!" — Sandi Jakubowski said Thursday on Twinsburg Patch's page.  
• "Shame on those coaches. Way to set an example of good sportsmenship," said Christine Nedell Lyden on Thursday 

Which posed the question —  Why do you think sportsmanship has taken such a back seat in society these days?

• "People want their kids to be number one at all costs. Instead of instilling good sportsmanship, they are demonstrating to their kids that the way to 'win' or get your way is through violence. Time to take a look at you lives, bully dads," said Dawn Harrison-Drasner on the Twinsburg Patch Facebook page.

Over in the comments section on Strongsville Patch's story, most readers were upset that rules were broken and some defended their hometown coach. 

• "I was at the game and was in shock that it happened. The commissioner of the league was involved and still continued coaching other games. What kind of example is that for the players? He should be ashamed. Never will I be part of any program he runs. Maybe his ego will be put in check. He needs the players more than the players need him," said "Basketball Mom."

A few others rallied behind "Basketball Mom" and said they were disappointed that these men weren't leading by example. Another reader was defending the coach from Strongsville.

"I was there. That Twinsburg coach as well as his wife need anger management help. The Strongsville coach was very cool and collective and then wham, the Twinsburg coach threw him down. Being that he made the first move, that guy should WITHOUT A DOUBT be thrown out of coaching any children. The Strongsville coach was obviously defending himself. What a horrible example that man is to children or even adults for that matter. Shame on him!" said "Fans watch" on the Strongsville story.
