Drunken Driver Arrested With Loaded Gun: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction

 

A Twinsburg police officer was doing his duty on April 10, by helping an Aurora woman with car troubles in the Key Bank parking lot on East Aurora Road.

However, the woman didn't help herself. The officer found she had been driving drunk and arrested her.

After searching the vehicle he found a loaded handgun was found in the car's center console.

The woman was arrested and charged with drunken driving, carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling a gun in a car.

Oh, the wacky weed

During an April 10 traffic stop, police smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the car. The driver, a Twinsburg man, allowed them to search the car when they found a burnt marijuana cigarette.

The man was issued a written warning for failing to use his turn signal and a minor misdemeanor citation for possession of marijuana.

Hey, that's my iPod

On April 11 officers met with a woman who reported her son's iPod was stolen at a the Comfort Suites on Creekside Drive.

The iPod was worth $200.
