We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.
Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.
You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.
Look for the kids’ planner each Monday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips — just add them to the comment box. Even if you disagree with our picks, let us know. We want to hear from you.
Where/When: Cuyahoga County Public Library, Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Participants will use the most recent and clear pictures of outer space to create their masterpiece. Children in grades 2-5 will be able to create a mixed media piece that they can take home.

Where/When: Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Thursday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m.
Why Go: Ms. Margo will be hosting her story time like no one else can! Kids can enjoy stories, songs and crafts.
Registration is not necessary.
Where/When: Twinsburg Historical Society, Friday, Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: Members of the historical society aided by students from the THS Drama Club adopt the personnas of the dearly departed and tell stories that reflect Twinsburg as they had known it.
Where/When: Whole Foods Market on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m.
Why Go: Half Pints is one of the programs from Whole Foods that is just for the kids! A Half-Pint is aged 5-10 and parents are encouraged to stay and lunch in the cafeteria while the little ones party. Bring in your half-pints at any time between 2 and 5 for a little drop-in fun! Half-Pints--come in costume and celebrate your inner wizard/witch with this fun and easy cooking class. The group will learn how to make healthy, tasty snacks and punch.
