Update: Hurricane Sandy Changes Twinsburg Trick-or-Treat

The mayor says the event will be changed to Sunday, Nov. 4

Updated at 7:59 p.m.

Twinsburg's trick-or-treat has been changed to Sunday, Nov. 4 from 5-7 p.m., according to Mayor Katherine Procop.

Look for more information on Tuesday.

------------------------

Hurricane Sandy may affect the weather, but it won't change plans for trick-or-treat in Twinsburg.

Mayor Katherine Procop said via email events will go on as scheduled:

Halloween Trick-or-Treating will take place on Wednesday, October 31, 6-8 p.m., as scheduled.

High winds are expected through Tuesday afternoon and expected to lessen on Wednesday. Rain is expected on Wednesday and through the remainder of the week.

Since there will be little improvement in weather throughout the week safety forces have been scheduled and Trick or Treating will proceed on Wednesday.

Please take all normal cautions and have a fun and safe Halloween.

Public Works Director Chris Campbell said there have been no problems with flooding yet.

"We're looking for things to get interesting after midnight," Campbell said in an email.

Twinsburg Patch will keep you updated on flooding, road closures and any other changes as they come in.

Of course Twinsburg doesn't reschedule, that would require the Mayor actually making a decision that helps people.

As did I and got the same generic response. It is not supposed to rain on the weekend. Does anyone know what Hudson has done? Twinsburg usually follows Hudson.

Streetsboro has changed to the weekend as well. I contacted the Mayor to ask her to reconsider changing as well for both the safety of the kids and everyone's enjoyment.
