Both the Twinsburg and Solon High School girls basketball teams are just a few games away from a state championship — but what team will advance for a chance at the title?

The Lady Comets will play the Lady Tigers at 7:30pm at the Canton Memorial Civic Center in a heated matchup. 

The Tigers, who are now perfect on the season, defeated Hudson March 2 to win the Akron District championship. If they advance and win in the finals, it will be the team's third consecutive team championship. 

The Solon team beat Mentor 61-55 Tuesday to advance to Friday's matchup, according to the Solon Athletics website.
