Man Assaulted by Girlfriend at Blue Top Motel: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department.

 

Twinsburg police were called to the Blue Top Motel on Ravenna Road on Aug. 6 for a report of an assault.

The victim said his girlfriend hit him and he had visible scratches on his chest and throat.

The woman was charged with assault.

Pot party

On Aug. 6 police found a group of juveniles hanging out in a pavilion at Moraine Park at night. 

As the officers drove by the kids started to run. The officer caught five juveniles and two adults after smelling burnt marijuana in the area.

One adult was charged with underage possession of alcohol and a juvenile was charged with marijuana possession.

All were released to their parents.

"Scrappy" criminals

On Aug. 7 a Twinsburg welding company reported theft of scrap metal from a collection bin behind the business.

Around 40 pieces of steel were taken, worth $200.

Red light drug bust

Police saw a Bedford woman run a red light on Aug. 10 on Ravenna Road.

During the stop the officer smelled raw marijuana in the car and located multiple baggies and a grinder with residue on it.

She was cited and released on misdemeanor counts of possession and drug parahernalia.

Pull over and pot

Officers stopped a car on I-480 on Aug. 10 for an equipment violation.

During the stop the woman was arrested for driving on a suspended license and drug abuse when a baggie of marijuana was found in the car.
