It might not be hunting season for raccoons, but one man sure was proud of his fresh kill.
On Oct. 27, around 1 p.m. Twinsburg police were called to the Blue Top Motel about a man going door to door showing off a raccoon he had just shot and killed.
Officers spoke to the Ravenna Road man, who said he was showing other tenants how he had "taken care of the animal."
He then told police he shot it with a 20 gauge shotgun, trying to protect his small dog.
The man was charged for discharging a firearm and hunting animals. His weapon was confiscated and he was released with a court summons.
