The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department
The recent closing of Regency Windows didn't just leave some customers angry.
On Sunday, March 4 Twinsburg Police got a call alerting them that a man was operating a forklift at the former East Aurora Road business, lifting one of the vans in the air.
When police responded, they found three men on the scene. The man operating the forklift told officers he was part-owner of Tire Exchange and was trying to "recoup some product that was unpaid for" when the window company closed.
He said he was given permission by an unknown party with Regency Windows to "get their product back," he said.
Officers said they weren't aware of any agreement and informed the men they would need to recoup their losses in the proper manner, through the court system.
No charges were filed against any of them, however, the city prosecutor is was notified of the situation.
