More Residents Donating to Obama Campaign than Romney

Search our interactive campaign contribution database.

Editor's Note: The attached database has been updated since this story originally ran in September. The figures in the story have also been updated.

In a big presidential election, it appears Twinsburg residents aren't big campaign contributors.

Twinsburg only has 24 donors to both campaigns with a total of 68 donations, according to federal election data.

President Barack Obama has the most donors (19) and his campaign has recieved nearly $5,100. One resident has made two donations of $500, the highest single donation for the president.

The Romney campaign has raised $1,400 through five donors in the city, getting the highest single donation of $500.

Twinsburg is low in campaign contributions compared to other cities, such as Strongsville. There have been 134 donations to campaigns for both candidates in Strongsville, with most giving to Obama.

Patch has created an interactive database so you can see how much your neighbors are donating to the presidential campaign—and to which candidate they’re writing their checks. We’ve included communities across Ohio, so if you want to see what the campaign contributions in Broadview Heights or Seven Hills look like, go right ahead.

The information in the database was downloaded from the Federal Election Commission’s website. The data is based on quarterly reports, and is current through July. The data will be updated in mid-October.
