Police Find Marijuana, Scale After Suspension Arrest

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

June 23 was not a good evening for a Bedford Heights man after he was pulled over by Twinsburg police for his erratic driving.

Christopher Smith, 33, was charged with drug trafficking, possession of drug tools, drunken driving, driving under suspension and weaving.

At around 10:30 p.m. that evening officers saw Smith's car weaving left and right in the marked lanes and eventually pulled him over at the 10800 block of Ravenna Road.

Officers soon noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the car and found his license had been suspended.

Smith didn't pass the field sobriety tests but blew a .000 on the breathalyzer test.

During a search of his car police found a backpack that had three bags of marijuana inside and a digital scale
