Police: Intoxicated Woman Crashes Car, Then Hides In Woods
The information in this report is from the Twinsburg Police. An arrest does not mean a conviction.
A 30-year-old Aurora woman is charged with drunken driving after she blew out all four tires on her car after driving on the wrong side of the road, then parked it on the road near a gas station and hid in the woods, according to Twinsburg Police.
Danielle Dorsey, 30, of Aurora, is charged with drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to control, according to a police report.
At about 1:44 a.m. on Dec. 10, a Twinsburg police officer found a car partially on Darrow Road near the BP Station near I-480. The car had four flat tires, and was empty inside.
While the officer was searcing the car, a woman arrived at the gas station, who said she was the car owner's mother, and that she had come to pick up her daughter.
The mother then went around the back of the gas station and found the driver hiding in the woods, according to the report.
Police said she smelled of alcohol and her speech was slurred, but she refused a breathalyzer test. The woman was arrested and taken to Twinsburg Jail.
The police investigation concluded that the driver had been driving the wrong way on Darrow Road, and had attempted to return to the correct flow of traffic when the car struck the concrete median and damaged the tires, according to the report.
