Review: 'Peter Pan' Shines on Opening Weekend

Residents who saw the play share their thoughts on the performance

After opening weekend of the Twinsburg Community Theatre's production of Peter Pan: The Musical, some who watched it sent in their thoughts on the performances.

Diana Wolff writes:

Peter Pan is another fantastic play put on by the Twinsburg Community Theatre. It was obvious by the performance how much hard work was put into this by the kids and adult actors. Every part was entertaining and fun for the whole family. I HIGHLY recommend taking the whole family out for a performance or two!

After attending opening night of Peter Pan, it was easy to forget that all of the show's talent came from our own wonderful community. The opening scene with the Darling Family set the tone for the remainder of the evening, as each actor flawlessly portrayed their character.

The Lost Boys threatened to steal the show with their ornery antics, and the Fairies and Children of the World succeeded at bringing the "adorable" to the stage. There were flying children, indians, pirates with personality, mermaids, and a crocodile to keep the audience captivated at all times.

Captain Hook was beyond entertaining, and Wendy and Peter tugged at your heart with the emotions of their friendship. This is a show that can be enjoyed by all ages. There is something for everyone. Just try to hold back your smile when you leave... I'm betting you can't!
