Hurricane Sandy is pounding the east coast and its weather conditions have caused city officials to change trick-or-treat.
Twinsburg will no longer have trick-or-treat on Wednesday, instead rescheduling to Sunday, Nov. 4 from 5-7 p.m., according to Mayor Katherine Procop.
Procop said it didn't look like the weather conditions would improve over the next few days.
"Hopefully the weather will be much improved by Sunday making for a safe and fun Halloween," she said in an email.
Many towns around the area have already rescheduled for the weekend, including neighboring Solon.

What caused the mayor to have a change of heart? Earlier in the day, it "was not being rescheduled" because safety forces had been scheduled and the weather wasn't getting better later in the week. My guess is that she got pressure for being hard headed. I wonder who put that pressure on her. Hmm?!?

Ignorant comment Dave. I applaud the Mayor for taking the time to see how things ironed out and not succumbing to the knee jerk reaction that you and others feel is necessary. Tell me, how did her waiting a couple of hours to postpone trick or treat effect your life?

Nassman, you missed the whole point of my comment. I don't want a knee jerk reaction, but after the mayor came out and said trick or treating would not be changed, someone or something got her to change her mind. My point was she should not have made her original statement so strongly. I agree it should be changed. Nothing affected my life as it seems my comment has yours.

Let's just postpone until Spring. That way we'll have nice weather for trick-or-treating...

Discussion is good, but let's all remember to play nice in the comments section. Thanks!
