Tigers Look To Strike Back Against Nordonia
After a season-opening loss, Twinsburg's football team looks to get a win Friday
It was a tough way to open the season for the Twinsburg Tigers football team, losing to Aurora 29-23 last week.
Even worse, star running back John Barton suffered a season-ending injury.
But Twinsburg looks to get back on track Friday against the Nordonia Knights, who lost to Mayfield last week.
Kick off is at 7 p.m. at Twinsburg Tiger Stadium.
Last season, Twinsburg bounced back from a loss to Aurora, throttling the Knights 38-7.
Player to Watch
With Barton out, the pressure rests on the arm and feet of senior quarterback Jalen Washington.
Last week Washington passed for over 300 yards and a touchdown, but threw three interceptions and was sacked five times, according to the Plain Dealer.
Look for him to dial it in this week against the Nordonia defense.
