Tigers' Senior John Barton Out for Season
A terrible injury against Aurora on Friday ended Barton's high school career
One of the key players for the Twinsburg Tigers' football team can only watch from the sideline for the rest of the season.
Senior John Barton, the starting running back, suffered a season-ending injury in Twinsburg's loss to Aurora Friday night, the Plain Dealer reports.
Barton "ripped the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his left knee, a devastating injury for a football player," the report said.
Entering his senior season, the 5-foot,10-inch back, was looking to add to his 1,300 yards and 27 touchdowns from last season.
Instead, he will support his team the rest of the season from the sideline during every practice and game.
