Twinsburg High's Great Expectations Show Choir was named Grand Champions at last weekend's Marysville Show Choir Showcase, besting some of the most accomplished show choirs in the midwest.

Among the vanquished was neighboring rival Solon, whose Music in Motion Show Choir was the top-ranked in the country and had won grand champion at every competition last year. Solon won second place.

Great Expectations also received an award for best choreography.

Twinsburg's win over Solon is quite the accomplishment. Solon was ranked first in the online National Show Choir Rank System. Twinsburg was rated 29th.
