Twinsburg Man Charged With Assault for Biting Girlfriend

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A Twinsburg man faces assault charges after he was accused of biting his girlfriend on July 14 around noon.

The woman told police 19-year-old Eugene Vassar bit her several times during an argument at the 1600 block of Pinebark Place.

Police saw bruises on the back of her arm and spots on her legs where someone had bitten through her jeans, according to the police report.

She told officers an argument started because Vassar took her cell phone and accused her of taking his.

That's when he started biting her. She said none of the bites broke the skin.

Police talked with Vassar, who admitted to biting his girlfriend.

He said he bit her because she took his phone and was kicking him. She told police she kicked because he was on top of her and she was trying to get away.

The report noted he had no visible marks on him.

Vassar was arrested and charged with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor.

I have been here 55 years and Twinsburg will be the next Maple Heights in 10 years or sooner if the City of Twinsburg doesn't crack down on these types.
What I don't understand is the lack of enforcement for reckless driving and even loud music. Our forces lost a great officer years ago after he pulled someone over for loud music. How about in his honor start cracking down. It;s a shame to let Twinsburg turn into a second class city. DON'T SELL.
The next tragic situation will be the school system, as tax paying residents move and the garbage moves in. Have you noticed how many kids drive down Ravenna Road every school morning from the Oakwood area? I wasn't aware that non residents can use our school system at their will. God help us.

Lol @ MM. If he was white it would of been different. If there is such a problem with black people then move. You don't have to stay if you feel so "threatened"

Is there a reason Mr. Cooper did not take care of this sooner? Why did Mr. Baker need to step in to handle the inappropriate comments?
