My father, Herman Petty, was a great fan. Each spring she would hang his radio in the cherry trees to help keep the birds away while he listened to Howie (never missed his show) as he worked in his garden. He loved to talk about what Howie was saying since we both listened to him. His radio was permanently set on WNIR. Betty Parker, Munroe Falls

I Loved this man. He was an infuence like no other, to me and to thousands of others. the world has lost one its greatest humanitarians. He was truely a saint to those who knew him, I only wish more could have had the chance. Thank You Howie, Your contribution to what's is good has been documented and your name will live on.
