Marvel's The Amazing Spiderman opens July 3 at midnight, rebooting the Spiderman series for a new generation.

Peter Parker, (played by Andrew Garfield) is your typical high school nerd: Super intelligent but socially awkward. Left orphaned by his parents at a young age, Parker tries to uncover the mystery of his parents' death while developing "amazing" super powers.

As of July 2, the movie was rated 7.8/10 on IMDb and a 78 percent (out of 100) on Rotten Tomatoes.

Spiderman is rated PG-13 for scenes of action and violence and lasts two hours and 16 minutes.

Claudia Puig, of the USA Today, said: "As a new chapter in the superpowered arachnid saga, it stands on its own quite nicely, focusing more on human emotions than on a panoply of special effects."

Batman is my all-time favorite, but you gotta' love Spiderman! I wasn't too sure about this "reboot" at first, but I think it's going to be awesome. And yes... I will be there at midnight? Who's with me?!

OK, I saw it last night and it was great! It was funny, smart and action-packed! Definitely worth watching in the theaters!
