Cleveland Indians: 2016 World Series Champions

The truth: The Tribe will win the World Series in 2016!

What I’m going to tell you is going to sound crazy and too good to be true. This might be the craziest thing that has ever been posted online. You have the right to choose if you want to believe what I’m going to say, but I’m sharing with you the secret of life.

In October 2016, The Cleveland Indians will win the World Series.

If you are still reading this article, then you must be interested in how I know this. In this article, I’ll tell walk you into the steps of my discovery.

The Beginning of my theory

There are only a few things I love more than the Indians (all relate to this theory). If you have ever seen Adam Sandler’s Classic, Happy Gilmour, you would know how close he and his grandmother are in that movie. Well, my grandmother and I are just like them. She is the only person that I truly know that have seen the Indians win the World Series.

I once said that I will see the Tribe win the World Series at the same age that my grandmother was in 1948. In October of 1948, my grandmother was 26, turning 27.

I’ll be 26, turning 27, in October 2016. Yes…I know that is not enough to convince anyone yet, but there is more to the theory.

2009

2009 was the 2nd worst season of my life, only 1992 was worst but I don’t remember it. In June of 2009, I went to Chicago to see the Tribe play against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

June 19th, 2009 was the worst game that I have ever been to. The Indians blew huge leads in late innings and was swept that weekend. It was a very long ride back home to Cleveland after that series.

I called my grandmother when the series was over. I have taken care of my grandmother for a very long time. I call her every day because she’s at that age where most of her friends are gone and my grandfather has been gone since 1997. So, when I called her, I had a small favor to ask. I asked her that when she meets the Lord, can she ask him to give her grandson a World Series. She said yes.

2010

It was April of 2010 and I was camping with a few friends. I was just sitting around a bond fire and that’s when something very weird happened to me.

I had an Epiphany… I completely blacked out from reality and saw something. I saw an older version of myself. I was wearing the white home Tribe Jersey & a forward home cap.  I was laughing, smiling, crying, and saying “Jeanne” over & over again. Jeanne is my Grand Mother’s name.

Post-Epiphany

I’ll be honest; the dream had me thinking a lot. I wasn’t sure what the dream was trying to tell me.

I was walking to class one day and was thinking if there was any scientific evidence to behind my dream. I put all the information that I had collected together and did some

math. I looked a few years older in my epiphany, mid-20s. I said before, I would be 26 turning 27, the same age that my grandma was in 1948. Now let’s do some math. I will be 26 turning 27 in October 2016. So that would mean that the Indians would win the World Series again after 68 years.

Here is a fun fact; my grandma and I are 68 years apart. You might think that is just a huge coincidence but try to explain the next part… The Indians have won the World Series twice, in 1920 and 1948.

20+48=68

If you are still not convinced, then please keep reading.

Our Feller who art in Heaven

I have also said that Bob Feller will not be alive to see the Indians win the World Series again, years & years before Feller’s death.

The funny thing is that with any theories or major world events, people will find odd coincidences that have occurred.

In order to get to Heaven, you must die first, which is very true for the Red Sox. When they won in 2004 and finally saw heaven for the first time since 1918, 86 years later. It took them 86 years to see the holy land, 86 years! Here is the coincidence with that; 86 was the year that the Red Sox had their moment from Hell.

It was the 1986 World Series when the Red Sox were an out away from winning the World Series until Bill Buckner let the ball go between his legs.  So, when the Sox won it in 2004, Boston Legend, Ted William (who died 2 years earlier) was considered to be the Holy Ghost that helped them win their first title in a life time.

I figured that Feller would perform a very similar miracle for the Tribe, and yes, there is a huge coincidences between our future Heaven and our past Hell.

If the Red Sox’s Hell was Bill Buckner’s error, our Hell would be Jose Mesa’s blown save in Game 7 of the 1997 World Series. We were less than 3 outs away from being World Champions until Mesa choked.

So, if Bob Feller is the Holy Ghost in the 2016 World Series, there is a huge coincidence that I must tell you.

In October 2016, Bob Feller, number 19, would be 97 years old. In 2016, the 97 World Series will be 19 years old. The numbers are the same but flipped around.

Feller, number (19), age (97)….READ BETWEEN THE LINES!

The Curse of the one & only

The Tribe has always paralleled with my personal life. This part of the theory will not be shared with the public for personal reasons but I will say a few things. There is a reason why we were so good in 2007 & why we were so close to winning it all. There is a reason why we were so bad in 2009. There is a reason why we started getting better in 2011. If the Tribe is doing great, then good chance that my personal life is going great as well. All I can say is that something big will personally happen to me in 2016.

The Curse of Rocky Colavito

For all Tribe fans, we all know about the Curse of Rocky Colavito. The Curse started in 1960 when the Indians traded Colavito to the Tigers. Cleveland fans were extremely upset over the trade and that created a curse that still lives on to this day.

So, how do I have the power to end a curse that has broken hearts in Cleveland for decades?!?! Well the answer is amazingly simple.

In the spring of 1960, when Rocky Colavito was traded, he was 26 years old and would be turning 27 years old later that season. That is the exact same age that I will be in October of 2016.

The curse was created because of someone that was 26 turning 27, and the curse will end because of someone that will be 26 turning 27.

Real Logic

I do have some real hard facts to back this theory up. I truly believe that Mark Shapiro is a hidden genius. While he was the GM, he made some trades that fans hated but looking back, we stole great players from teams. I think Chris Antonetti will follow in Shapiro’s footsteps.

Look back at the early career of George Steinbrenner.  In the 1980s, Yankee fans hated him because of the moves that he made. When he was kicked out of baseball for a while, fans stood up a cheered when it was announced. They hated him in New York.

Now let’s move forward to the 1990s. Steinbrenner created one of the greatest sports dynasties in sports history. The New York Yankees won 4 World Series in 5 years, there is no way that Yankee fans in the 1980s believed that was going to happen in the near future.

So who knows! Maybe it won’t be just 2016! Maybe 2016, 2018, 2019, & 2020!

I know…everyone thinks that the Dolans are cheap, but hear me out. After this year, we won’t be paying Sizemore, the artist formerly known as Fausto, and Travis Hafner. Those are three key players that held back the Indians from spending.

We signed Hafner to a crazy contract years ago that pays him something like 10 million a year, no more after 2012. Sizemore cost us 5 million and he still hasn’t played, no more after 2012. Fausto’s contract changed once he was arrested, but that still held us back in the off season.

What I’m trying to say is that we will have money to spend after this current year. I think Antonitti and Shapiro will make some very smart front office decisions that will lead to us winning the last game of the series in 2016.

World Series Champions

Baseball is nothing but a game of coincidence and irony. When my grandma meets the Lord, she promised me that she will ask him to give me a World Series. I have a relative that my grandma is not a fan of that is a New York Mets fan. So, I think my grandmother will kill two birds with one stone have the Tribe sweep the Mets in four games.

I think that we will win the World Series on October 25, 2016, the 10 year anniversary of Jeff Newbauer’s death.

I think that the World Series Parade will be snowing like crazy, but the weather doesn’t stop anyone from celebrating.

I think Opening Day 2017 will be huge. There will be a pregame ceremony to congratulate Omar Vizquel and Jim Thome for being in the 2017 Baseball Hall of Fame class, then followed by the ring ceremony announced by Tom Hamilton.

Here is the craziness part! These words will be said… “Throwing out today’s ceremonial first pitch is a man who is a huge part of Cleveland Indians history. This two-time All-Star helped lead the Tribe to two World Series appearances in 1995 & 1997. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, Tribe Great, Number 49…JOSE MESA!”

And the crowd will give him a nice standing ovation. Cleveland will forgive and forget. Mesa and Omar will hug it out and forget the ugly past between them.

The Red Sox welcomed back Bill Buckner after they won the World Series, so why can’t we do the same with Jose Mesa?

Miracles are meant to happen….

Final Statement

What do I want out of this? Honestly, not much at all. I don’t want to make money off of this; I just want a World Series celebration in Cleveland.

It would nice toget a World Series ring for my dad and me as a gift for predicting this. I would love to be allowed to ride a fire truck during the parade with all my friends and family.

I’m taking a huge risk by publishing this article online because I could be very wrong, but if I’m right (which I know I am) I will look like genius.

So, if you are still reading, you have two options. You can turn your head in disbelief or start planning for the greatest party in Cleveland four years early.
