Presidential Baseball 2012

Baseball plays a part in my 2012 presidential voting!

Politics and Baseball are two subjects that normally create
very heated fights between many Americans. Well, baseball is America’s past
time and politics is the backbone of this country.

A great number of past American Presidents have been
baseball fans and supported a team like it was their political party.

Both Bushes supported the Lone Star state. George H.W. Bush
was an Astros fan while his son was a part owner of the Rangers.

California great, Ronald Reagan, made a name for himself as
a baseball announcer on the radio before his days on the big screen.

Bill Clinton threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Jacobs
Field (Yes, It’s still the Jake) on Opening Day 1994, but he wouldn’t support
the Chief Wahoo cap and supported the Block C cap instead.

You know that thing we do at baseball games where everyone
stands up?!?! The 7th inning stretch! Well, that was rumored to be
created when President Taft randomly stood up at a Senators game and the whole
crown stood up as well.

So, what about this year’s election between Barack Obama and
Mitt Romney?

Well, Obama has always supported his hometown heroes, The
Chicago White Sox.

But for Romney….HE LOVES THE BOSTON RED SOX!

I have seen the Tribe play in Fenway & US Cellular. I
have seen Boston & Chicago play in Cleveland many times. I hate the 2005
White Sox and I REALLY hate the 2007 Red Sox.

So, what pair of stinkin’ sox would I like to put in office?
I hate both teams and I’m very open about it but just like the new MLB playoff
format, I also have a second wild card!

In the 2012 Presidential Election, I will be voting for….RON
PAUL!

For those of you that don’t know, Ron Paul supports the
Houston Astros. The ‘Stros might be one of the worst teams in baseball and Ron
Paul might not be the best horse to bet on in the race, but hey, I rather have
him than have a fan of “The Nation” lead the nation!
