"Take me out to the Ball Game!"-The 5 Ws of taking a date to a Cleveland Indians game.

     The Indians & Women: The two things men love to hate & hate to love. They will make you cry, they will send you to bed upset, and make you ask the oldest question in the world: "Why me, God?"

BUT, truth be told, when things are going great, all you want to do is be around them 24/7. You will be glowing, smiling, high fiving your bros, and be loving life. You will be so happy with both your girl and the Tribe, you will want to cross a line with no return: A date at the ball game!

Before you put on any Tribe gear, you need to do your homework before you fail. Here are the Who, What, Where, When, and Whys of taking a lady to the game.

Who & Why: If this girl likes you, she will say she likes baseball even if it is not true. Girls like going to baseball games, even if they don't like baseball. It is a block party 81 times a season in Cleveland! Win or Lose, they just enjoy being there.

Where: If you read anything on this blog, read this. If you take your lady to a baseball game, MUST BE AN INDIANS HOME GAME! Never take her to a minor league game. Yes, us dudes love going to Aeros games and Captains games but taking a date there is saying she is minor league material and not ready for the Pros. Never take her to an Indians away game unless you two are getting married. Taking her on the road is a serious step in the relationship, but most of all, your buddies will hate you for taking a date instead of them. Trust me, Take her to a home game. 

When: The two prime time nights to take her to a game in Friday and Saturday nights for a few reasons. Reason number one, it will give her something to look forward to all week. She will have time to get a shirt (mostly likely from Victoria Secret's Pink Line) and tell her girlfriends how excited she is. Reason number two, promotions at the park. There are firework shows after every friday and saturday home games. People love the fireworks there because they sync the fireworks up to music. GIRLS LOVE FIRWORKS. Plus, hopefully it will also be dollar dog night and/or a bobble head night!

What to do & What not to do: There are a bunch of thin lines that guys don't see.

1) No Hats: Girls rather see you do your hair than wear a 59/50 aka a "Wahoo Fitted" to the game. I was told this and sadly, it is true.

2) Jerseys: If you wear one, you better make up for it with nice jeans or shorts. You have to balance it out or she will think you are going into gym class.

3) Paying: You are going to a Major League Game, I hope you have Major League Money. Pay for everything like tickets, parking, food, beer and/or pop, whatever. Do not buy her anything from the team shop. Don't even go to the team shop unless you have to. There is a difference between gentlemen and push over.

4) Seating & Tickets: BLEACHERS, BLEACHERS, BLEACHERS. In Cleveland, the bleachers is the party zone. $10 each and you are still pretty low. If someone gives you their tickets because they can't go, use that for your own advantage. Straight up tell her that somebody gave you free tickets because in her mind, she will think that you could have taken anyone in the world to go with you but you asked her to go. She will love you for that.

5) Home runs & Foul Balls: If you catch a baseball, what do you do? Keep it or give it to her? I love catching foul balls, but when I'm at a game with a girl, I stay away because it would kill me to give it up. I would stay away!

6)Kissing: Tribe wins, You win. If it is a walk off home run, you can kiss that ball good bye!
