The St. Louis Megabus Crash

Adam addresses his readers about the Megabus crash

For those of you that have been reading my blogs for the past year, you would know that I have used the Megabus to travel for Tribe games. Since the summer of 2008, I have used their service for half a dozen trips. They were the official bus of my road trips.

Thursday afternoon, a Megabus crashed, injuring 20 and killing 1 (for now). A tire blew out and crashed into a pillar of a bridge as the bus was heading to St. Louis from Chicago.

…The same road that I was on two months ago when I went to
see the Tribe/Cards game…

I understand that accidents do happen, but I feel that this was this could have been 100% prevented. In my blogs about my trips to Boston & St. Louis, I stated that the service from Megabus was terrible.

When I got home from St. Louis, I decided that I would no longer use their services anymore. For the last couple years, the Megabus was getting worse & worse. The customer service was bad and the buses were in bad shape. Thursday, their lack of service finally got the best of their company.

I pray for those victims of the accident. They wouldn’t be in this situation if Megabus would have done the great job that they were once known for.

The future of my baseball road trips will never be the same, but I thank God that I am still alive.

God Bless,

Adam Gockowski
