Free Family Movie Night

Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board (Summit DD) encourages families to join them on Thursday, May 22 for an outdoor, Family Movie Night, hosted by their Children’s Services Department. Summit DD’s movie night provides the opportunity for children and families of all abilities to meet and mingle. The movie, Madagascar, will be shown outside in the playground area at Summit DD’s Administration Building, located at 89 E. Howe Road in Tallmadge, and will begin at 6:15 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

“This inclusive event is meant to be family-friendly,” explained Early Intervention Manager, Tina Overturf. “It’s a fun way for families to get to know each other and meet new people. And because it is held in the fenced-in playground area, it’s also safe for the little ones. So parents can sit back without the worry and enjoy themselves.”

Families are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for the movie. Adaptable seating or equipment is available for use. Please contact Summit DD’s Children’s Services Department with special requests prior to Thursday, May 22. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted. Popcorn will be provided. Additional information is available online at SummitDD.org/Events. For questions or to RSVP, please call 330-634-8611.
