Celebrate 50 Years With the Twinsburg Garden Club

Multiple events are planned for the big anniversary beginning Sept. 7.

What better way to begin Twinsburg Garden Club’s year-long 50th Celebration, than a look back at those five colorful decades through an interview with one of the  founders and several past presidents of the Garden Club, plus visuals and film clips!

The “Fifty Years down the Garden Path” presentation will be held at the Twinsburg Senior Center, 1007 Ravenna Road, on Thursday, February 14, beginning at 7 p.m.
The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

Interviews are with Marge Percy, a 1963 founding member and a past president; Catherine Tyler, member since 1972 and a past president; and Gail Takacs, member since 1992  and a past president. The narrator is Ada Pollock, member since 1984 and a past president, who will include comments from Marge Roberts, member since 1968 and past president.

In addition to the 50 display from awards and projects, to photos, yearbooks and scrapbooks. Handouts containing highlights of the Garden Club’s history will be available for attendees. Refreshments will be th The 50th luncheon tea on April 6, the annual plant sale on May11, a float in the Twins Days’ parade on August 3, a public flower show on September 7.

On October 10, the annual slide show featuring  the Garden of Week award winners, co-sponsored by the Twinsburg Bulletin, and the 
announcement of the winner of the Garden of the Year award.
