We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

Where/When: , Monday, May 9 from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: This group is for girls in grades 4-5 and their mothers. Both are invited to spend a special evening together to talk about a great book. The girls will also have some light refreshments. Registration is required, you may call first or register online.

Where/When: , Tuesday, May 10 from 4:15-5:15 p.m.

Why Go: Gather around the music educator, Debbie Friedman, as she presents a fun-filled afternoon of musical stories and songs. This event is best for kids ages 18-36 months with a caregiver. Registration is required.

Where/When: , Saturday, May 14 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Why Go: This event is best for children 2-6. Kids are invited to meet Max the Bunny, one of Rosemary Wells' favorite bunnies. Celebrate spring with friends and bunnies. Children will make a craft and play games, they will then enjoy a great snack. Registration is required.

Where/When: , Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: Become a safe sitter with this class. The Solon Recreation Department presents this class with University Hospitals to offer the this class for interested boys and girls, best for ages 11-13.

Pricing: $50

5.

Where/When: Twinsburg Public Library on Sunday, May 15, from 2-4 p.m.

Why Go: The library will feature a recent Disney release rated PG. Munchkins and their caregivers are invited to join in. Call 330-425-4268 ext 3 for movie title and to register
