Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Where/When: , Monday, May 23 from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: This group is for girls in grades 4-5 and their mothers. Both are invited to spend a special evening together to talk about a great book. The girls will also have some light refreshments. Registration is required, you may call first or register online.

Where/When: , Monday, May 23 from 6:30-9 p.m.

Why Go: Come in for a special kid-sized movie night with Toy Story 3.  The best part about Movie Mondays at the library is the free admission! There will be free popcorn and iced teas as well as giveaways as well. Movies start on time, make sure you are there early for the refreshments.

Where/When: , Wednesday, May 25 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Parkside PTA annual Ice Cream Social For students and families of Parkside students. Please remember to send in slips to let us know you are attending. We still need more volunteers for this event. Airbrush tattoos, DJ, Clowns, Ice Cream, Face Painting, performances by Solon HS Starlettes and local dance groups!

Where/When: , Thursday, May 26, from 7-8 p.m.

Why go: Bring the kids, Stories on Stage is fun for everyone! All are welcome to see the students from the Solon Center for the Arts perform. This will be a theatrical version of the story, A Year with Frog and Toad.
