Patch Picks: Five Great Places for a Pleasant Picnic

  •   With baseball fields and volleyball courts, it has a lot to offer. You can even watch the kids on the playground. But please, don't be creepy.
  • Twinsburg Public Square: Right in the heart of town, it has plenty of lush trees to provide needed shade on a hot day. And there's a next to it. Win-win.
  •  Solon's Timberlake Park: Yet another amazing place to hang out with friends or that special someone. Timberlake offers plenty of pavilions if you need a roof over your head and wide open spaces.
  • Glen Chamberlin Park: This is the perfect place to find a spot for lunch and then hike off the food afterwards. Glen Chamberlin has a winding trail through the woods that also leads to Birchwood Park.
  • Your own back yard: Where better to settle down for a picnic than your own piece of land. That way if you forget the mustard, you can run back in to the kitchen and get it. Unless of course you don't have a back yard. Just ask politely to use someone else's.
