The Twinsburg Bulletin reports a Chamberlin Road man spotted a black bear crossing his street

This bear wasnt' looking for a picnic basket.

The Twinsburg Bulletin reports that on May 26, Rick Marcus of Chamberlin Road saw a black bear cross the 9700 block of Chamberlin at 2 a.m.

Both paw prints and a black bear itself were spotted in Liberty Park earlier this year, the Bulletin reports.  Park officials said they weren't sure if the bear was still in the area because no droppings have been found.

Officials warn residents near the park to make sure they secure their garbage and remove bird feeders and pets from their yards overnight, so they don't attract the bear, they reported.

If anyone sees a bear they should call the Division of Wildlife at 1-800-WILDLIFE.
