Twinsburg has been highlighted on a national platform after it was put into the Top 50 of CNN Money Magazine's Best Places to Live: America's Best Small Towns.

Twinsburg was ranked No. 38 on the list and was the second of three cities in Ohio to be ranked. Solon was ranked No. 42.

"I'm extremely proud of our town," Mayor Katherine Procop said.

Money Magazine said the world-renown Twins Days Festival and the growing Twinsburg job market gave the community a great advantage.

"Lately, though, it's picked up some headlines for the gradually improving job market, due in part to a new Cleveland Clinic Hospital facility and an expansion of a major Verizon Wireless office," Money Magazine wrote.

"When business owners come in to talk about the city, they're interested in what kind of community we have," Procop said. "Having this to promote to them is very important because not only does the business come in, but employees move here as well."

While business is a key aspect to Twinsburg's ranking, Money Magazine also complimented the city's "impressive 2,000 acres of parks and open space."

Procop said Twinsburg is more oriented to be a community and not just a city.

"It's really due to the people who live here and volunteer and care about their town."
