Friday, Aug. 26, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy jazz music, line dancing and dinner. Featuring jazz vocalist Roger Glover, local artist Chazz and Maurice Cooke The Hollywood Dazzler. Hosted by Americas Emcee Denny V and Syrice D. Adams. Evening will be videotaped and aired on Time Warner Fridays at 9 p.m. Sponsored by Power Groove Records and The Log TV Network.

Pricing: $25 presale ticket, $35 at the door, includes dinner.

2. 3rd Annual Joshua Miktarian Memorial Poker Run

Where/When: , 2691 Creekside Drive, Twinsburg.

Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Remember the life and sacrifice of Joshua Miktarian and support the fallen Twinsburg Police Officer's scholarship fund. Drive a vehicle or ride a motorcycle in this annual event. Best poker hand wins $200, second best gets $150 and worst hand gets $100 at end of the run. Begins and ends at Brewsters, where complimentary food and entertainment awaits participants.

Pricing: $25 entry per rider or driver, $15 per passenger.

3. Hudson Art On The Green

Where/When: Hudson Village Green, 80 N. Main St., downtown Hudson.

Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 28, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: More than 150 artists present their work to the public for viewing and sale. See paintings, pottery, photography, jewelry, sculpture, glass, crafts and more. Various food vendors to pick from. On Saturday enjoy the Hudson Farmers Market during the morning hours. On Sunday hear the Brass Band of the Western Reserve after the event on the Bandstand at 6 p.m.

Pricing: Free entry and open to the public.

Where/When: Twinsburg Public Library, 10050 Ravenna Rd., Twinsburg.

Sunday, Aug. 28, 2 p.m.

Why Go: The final performance of the Summer Series. Enjoy this one-man band with the Casio keyboard doing fun and silly songs. Great for the whole family. Performance rain or shine.

Pricing: Free and open to the public. All ages welcome.

5. Taste of Legacy Village

Where/When: Legacy Village, 25001 Cedar Rd., Lyndhurst.

Sunday, Aug. 28, noon to 5 p.m.

Why Go: More than a dozen restaurant and food providers serve delicious samples for you to enjoy. Wine sampling as well. Dance to the music of Twist. There will be a Kids' Zone with multiple children's activities. Sidewalk sale prices at various retailers, too.

Pricing: $10 ticket includes pack of Taste Dollars for food sampling; wine sampling tickets extra. All other activities free and event open to the public.

6. Latino Heritage Festival

Where/When: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame plaza, 1100 Rock and Roll Blvd., downtown Cleveland lakefront.

Sunday, Aug. 28, noon to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Features free live performances by Hector Tricoche, Sammy De Leon y su orquesta, Latin Soul Ballroom Dance Company and Julia De Burgos' Explosion Divina Dance Troupe. Take part in the largest Zumba demonstration in Cleveland. The JiBARO Gourmet Food Truck will be there to serve Latin style food.  

Pricing: Free entry to event including entertainment and music on the plaza. Open to the public. Regular admission to visit museum.
