Kick Off Reading Like a Hero This Summer

This year the library are calling on super heroes of all ages to join forces on imaginary, fun-filled reading and listening adventures.

The ’s Summer Reading Club Kick Off is on Monday, June 4.

This year we are calling super heroes of all ages to join forces on imaginary, fun-filled reading and listening adventures. Come to the library and pick up your SRC packet, get your picture taken in the photo booth, and attend Outback Ray’s Amazing Animals at 2 p.m. and the indoor showing of The Incredibles movie, PG, at 6:30 p.m. Don’t miss out on a dynamite summer of super hero undertakings!

Children from birth to grade five are eligible to participate in the Children’s Summer Reading and Listening Club in Children’s Place. By completing their reading challenges, they can win fabulous prizes all summer long with a grand prize of a super hero backpack featuring the Summer Reading Club Super Hero logo.

Children’s programs abound this summer with a special Super Hero Academy, American Girl Camp, Little Artists, and Bricks4Kidz & Bricks4Girlz. The library is also featuring Fun and Fit Fridays with special activities like Martials Arts and Cardio Dance.  Registration begins two weeks prior to each event date. 24-hour advanced registration is available for Twinsburg School District Residents. All registration is available online starting May 21 at http://www.twinsburglibrary.org/childrensplace.

Tweens and teens look forward to a full summer with lots of crafts, and super hero themed programs, including Bricks4Kids Lego programs.

Adults are not left out of the fun. You have a Summer Reading Club too. Read this summer and enter to win one of three fabulous prize basket s (displayed at the Reference Desk). All books read during the summer also count towards your 50 Book Challenge. There’s lots to do at the library this summer, so don’t miss out!

The library’s Saturday hours change to 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. starting the first weekend in June.
