Sports Illustrated Photographer To Speak At Twinsburg Library

Bill Frakes, an award-winning photographer, will give a presentation at the Twinsburg Library on May 23.

Bill Frakes, an award-winning photographer with Sports Illustrated, will give a presentation at the Twinsburg Public Library.

Frakes is scheduled to speak 7 p.m. on May 23. The presentation at the library is free, but you must register in advance. Click here to register online.

Frakes is based in Florida who has worked in all 50 states and in more than 125 countries for a wide variety of editorial and advertising clients. He has won the Newspaper Photographer of the Year award in the prestigious Pictures of the Year competition. He was a member of the Miami Herald staff that won the Pulitzer Prize for their coverage of Hurricane Andrew.

Frakes has a new book called "Sports Photography – From Snapshots to Great Shots."

Frakes also plans to come to the area because he is directing a documentary on area musician Neil Zaza, who is considered to be one of the world's best electric guitarists.

Frakes will also be directing and filming a very special live concert DVD for Neil Zaza.  The first 100 people attending Frakes's presentation on May 23 will receive a FREE ticket ($20 value) to Bill's DVD taping of Neil Zaza's all-star concert at the Kent Stage featuring Todd Sucherman from Styx, Bill Dickens and Todd Rogers on May 25.
