Twinsburg Artist Hopes Kickstarter Can Make Country Dreams Come True

Twinsburg musician is trying to raise $5,000 by Oct. 12.

Twinsburg's own Michael Lusk plans to have his new country album, Knights Like This, ready to roll by Oct. 12.

But he's asking his fans to help him do it.

Lusk created a Kickstarter campaign to help raise the necessary funds for his new album. As of Sept. 23 he had nine backers chip in $575 towards his goal of $5,000 by the release date.

Kickstarter is a website that helps fund different art, music and movie projects by raising money.

"I was born in Twinsburg, Ohio and began singing at an early age and I don't think I've heard a style of music I don't like," Lusk said in his bio. "I've written and performed different styles of music over the years but Country Music is where my heart is."

He has performed with singers such as Loretta Lynn, Martina McBride and Zooey Deschanel.
