New CrossFit Saol Could Whip You Into Shape Starting in May

Co-Owner Megan Humphreys said the new strength and conditioning center could open in Twinsburg in the next month

Twinsburg residents seeking a new and challenging fitness routine may not have long to wait.

CrossFit Saol, a gym known for its high-intensity workouts, should open at 2130 E. Aurora Rd. sometime in May, according to Megan Humphreys, co-owner.

Humphreys, coming to Twinsburg from a CrossFit in Arkansas, said CrossFit Saol's regimen excercises the body by working out the muscles people use on a daily basis.

"Everything we do at CrossFit applies to something you would do in everyday life," Humphreys said.

She referred to it as a "general physical preparedness program" --  combining a variety of training programs to prepare the body. This program is also used by members of the military and emergency responders.

"We don’t specialize in one thing; we're a generalist in everything," Humphreys said.

She said one common misconception people have about the program is that they need to be in shape to do it.

“That’s not true at all,” Humphreys said, adding they have programs scaled for specific body types and workout experiences.

So how much could a membership cost you once it opens?

The company hasn't finalized its rates for Twinsburg, but prices can be anywhere from $75-$150 per month, depending on the type of training, according to Humphreys.

“It’s not your $20 a month gym, it’s really about group training.”

Members can get personalized training in a group setting with class sizes of 10-15 members and two trainers.

While the cost might not be set, there will be discounts for students, teachers, military, police and fire.

"It’s really important for us to give back to our community and do everythig we can to support them," Humphreys said.
