News-Leader: Twinsburg Company Gets Deal for Move to Macedonia

A tax abatement deal could move Bennett Supply Company out of the city by year's end

One Twinsburg company could be moved into a new home in Macedonia by the end of 2011, reports The News-Leader.

They reported Wednesday that Pennsylvania based Bennet Supply Company, a building material supplies company on Dutton Drive, will receive tax abatements from the city of Macedonia to move their business to a planned "76,000 square-foot warehouse and office facility".

The tax abatement will be at 75 percent for the first 10 years and 50 percent for the next five years on additional new construction property taxes, according to The News-Leader.

The abatement is expected to be worth $621,000 to Bennett over a 15-year period.

The company has been in Twinsburg since 2001 with a reported payroll of $1.23 million and 30 jobs.

Any particulars as to how the Job Preservation Agreement will affect the tax revenue stream of this move?
