Police Blotter: Credit Card Fraud, Disorderly Conduct, Attempted Grand Theft Auto

Information was provided by Twinsburg police.

Credit fraud/identity theft

A resident told police at about 9:20 p.m. July 24 that a Montgomery Ward credit account was opened in her name without her authorization. The matter is under investigation

Police responded to a call at about 9:15 p.m. July 25 about a male lying in the roadway at Sunview and Oakwood drives. Officers located an intoxicated juvenile in the area, and a second intoxicated juvenile was located shortly after, walking on East Idlewood Drive. Both juveniles were released to their parents. One juvenile was referred to the Twinsburg Diversion Program, and the other juvenile was charged with underage prohibitions through the Summit County Juvenile Court.

A resident of the 9900 block of Chamberlin Road told police that two ATVs were stolen during the night of July 25-26. Apparently they didn't get too far: The ATVs were recovered in the resident's yard.

Property found  

 A resident on the 2100 block of Gary Drive reported finding several music CDs in her mailbox at about 8:45 p.m. July 26. She reported that several of her neighbors have also found CDs placed in their mailboxes. The property was placed into the Twinsburg Police Department property room.

Warrant arrest 

While conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 480 near Aurora Road for speeding, the office found that the passenger of the vehicle, a Cleveland resident, was wanted on a warrant through the San Juan, Puerto Rico, police on burglary and larceny charges.
