Predicting Pulitzer: The Most Distinguished Literary Prize in America, on Tuesday, March 27, from 7:00p - 8:00p. Movies have their Academy Awards, college basketball has its NCAA 'March Madness', and literature has its Pulitzer Prize.  How DO they come up with what is arguably the "most distinguished fiction…" in America?  Well the answer is a secret.  And that secret has been zealously guarded for the last 95 years.  This is your opportunity to learn how the Pulitzer Prize for fiction is determined and who will be the winner when the awards are announced in April 2012.  Along the way we will discuss how the award originated, some of the more distinguished winners and review books that may find their way to the top of the literary world.

A copy of the report can be provided upon request.

TeenCrossings

Hunger Games Party-Thursday, March 22, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Celebrate the release of "The Hunger Games" in theaters. We will be playing games, making a pin, and hosting a potluck. Please bring in a dish inspired by the book. For examples, see a teen librarian. You may also dress as you favorite character. May the odds be ever in your favor.

The Cause is back! On Saturday, April 21 from 6:45p - 9:30p, Teens, grades 7 and up, will be performing music, poetry, drama, and comedy at this coffeehouse style event. Purchase baked goods and beverages at the event to benefit ACBC, Aluminum Cans for Burned Children. Stop in and support a great cause! Registration begins March 10, 2012. Ages 7th-12th grade
