5 Movies to Catch on TV This Christmas

I love Christmas. The lights, the music, the fun. But I especially love the movies! So what are the ones you should watch? My Christmas gift to you is a list of my top five faves and when you can catch them.

1. The Santa Claus

Tim Allen stars in the remake of a favorite Christmas movie. After Santa falls off his roof, Scott Calvin (Allen) is forced to take the reins, and the huge pants. — 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday on ABC Family.

2. Elf

"Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?" This one is an instant classic as Will Ferrel plays a human with incredible holiday joy who tries to reconnect with his dad and spread Christmas cheer. — Starts at 8 p.m. Sunday on USA with a repeat right after.

3. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

The sequal to the Christmas classic Home Alone (sadly, it's not airing this weekend), Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) finds himself separated from his family again on Christmas, this time to fend for himself in the city that never sleeps, with the same two dim-witted criminals after him. — 9 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 p.m. Sunday on ABC Family and 8:30 p.m. Sunday on Telemundo.

4. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Clark Griswold has big plans for Christmas, which naturally turns into a total disaster. This movie is destined to make you laugh and be thankful that you aren't related to cousin Eddie. — 9 p.m. Thursday, 6 p.m. Friday and 10 p.m. Sunday on ABC Family.

5. It's A Wonderful Life

This classic 1946 film never gets old. Jimmy Stewart stars as George Bailey, whose life is touched by a guardian angel. This film was nominated for five Oscars. — 8 p.m. Saturday on NBC.

Wild-Card: A Christmas Story

Don't miss this hilarious and touching movie of an Indiana boy that will have you saying, "You'll shoot your eye out," all day long. — Starts at 8 p.m. Saturday and runs for 24 hours nonstop on TBS.
