Twinsburg Sports Update! Basketball, Hockey and Gymnastics oh my!

 Alrighty here we go with the Tigers Sports Update, Thursday Night Hockey Action, the Tigers took on the Greenmen of Aurora for Round Two, The first round they tied out 1-1 back on November 30th. The Greenmen came out fighting, the Tigers were able to keep it scoreless during the first half, but the 2nd half would not be in the Tigers luck, The Greenmen came out and was able to score an early goal during the 2nd half making the score 1-0 after the end of the second half. The Tigers hoping to come out and tie or steal the victory but the Greenmen defense said differently, The Tigers not able to get on the board and the Greenmen ability to score another shot and final nail in the casket to make the Tigers drop to 6-3-1 on the season with a final score of 2-0 in Garfield Heights. Friday Night Action kicked off with the Battle of the Tigers with the Twinsburg Tigers vs. Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers. Both Cuyahoga Falls and Twinsburg was able to stay head to head at the end of the 1st Quarter with a score of 16-16. The second quarter was the same story, Twinsburg and Cuyahoga Falls Draws into a one point difference putting Twinsburg over the top 29-28 after a back and forth first half. Going into the second half was a different story Twinsburg was able to pull the Scoring advantage with a 24-19 point differential in the third quarter. Going into the fourth quarter Twinsburg was up 53-47 with the pressure of a possible come back, Veteran Head Coach Bob Pasci didn't take any less steps bringing in the "A” game and was able to keep The Black Tigers to a total of  10 points with a scoring advantage of 24-10 in the final quarter. With that being said The Tigers move to 6-2 on the season with the 75-57 Victory over the Black Tigers of Cuyahoga Falls. Full Gallery

Saturday Night was full of Action, The Lady Tigers Basketball Team(#6 Nationally Ranked) moved to 13-0 over their victory 66-33 over Shaker Heights High School. The Lady Tigers with their domination in the first 13 games of the year has been ranked #1 in the AP Poll for the State of Ohio, #6th Nationally from Maxpreps and #7 from USA Today.

The Lady Tigers Gymnastics team competed against the Solon Comets and was unable to capture the victory with a final team score of 126-121. Full Gallery 

Sunday Afternoon Hockey Action, We go back to Garfield with round two of Twinsburg Vs. Nordonia, Twinsburg winning 5-0 last time they played against each other showed up yet again with a 6-0 victory and moving to 7-3-1 overall this season!
