It's Official

Today was signing day. I am officially a Terrapin. I am so excited that this step has been taken. My highschool team has a scrimmage this weekend. We are so ready.

Today was the big day. I am officially a Maryland Terrapin. Today after practice I signed my national letter of intent. It was the greatest feeling ever. I feel like I have been waiting for forever for this day. Since the beginning of my recruiting I have wanted this, to feel this way. It was such a perfect day!!

During school my teammate and good friend Lashawna Gatewood signed her NLI to Appalachian State! I am so proud of her. Then I had the rest of school and practice. But before practice we finally got all our gear. It is so nice and I love it all. This season is looking like it could be a lot of fun.

Practice was intense as always. We worked hard and did conditioning today. It was hard, but worth it as always. I struggled a little in the running today. It was weird and I was a bit dissappointed that I didn't finish in the front of the pack. But I didn't let it ruin my practice. I just know the next time I need to be in the front. The rest of practice was focused on rotations and defense. Defense is such an importance to our team. We work on it daily.

I honestly think Coach Solis has made defense one of my favorite parts of the game. Just the feeling when we make a great stop and are moving and rotating together perfectly. I LOVE IT.

After our practice it was time. I got all fixed up and ready to sign. It was amazing. My whole team stayed after and coaches and family came. It means so much to me how much support I really have. We had a cake and a little celebration after for me and Lashawna. Signing..it's still unreal to me that this sport is bringing me my college education. I am so excited to move on to the next level. But now that everything with college choices is done and official I have one more goal to accomplish before leaving Twinsburg. Me and my team know exactly what that is.

We have a scrimmage on Saturday and we are one step closer to our first game. It's 15 days away. I am beyond excited to get things started.
