Ohio gov’t has too much on its plates

Ohio has too much on it plates. It’s time to clean them up.
A pending Ohio bill, H.B. 110, would create six new license plate designs. The Ohio House unanimously passed the bill in May, but it has stalled in a Senate committee.

Maybe that’s a good thing. How many special designs does the state have — or need — and how much does this cost Ohioans? The new specialty license plates would commemorate such things as military service and Superman, who was created by two teenagers from Cleveland. While the actual cost to taxpayers is minimal, the specialty plate program raises a host of other questions.
