75-Year-Old Twinsburg Man Charged With Groping Male Giant Eagle Worker

A 75-year-old Twinsburg man was arrested last week and charged with sexual imposition after he was accused of groping a male employee at Solon's Giant Eagle.

Basilio Caliri was arrested July 6 and charged with sexual imposition.

The grocery store worker, a 19-year-old Solon resident, told police that on July 4 Caliri walked up to him in front of the store and hugged him. The man told police that Caliri then patted his crotch with his hand and made a lewd comment, according to the police report.

The worker fled into the store and told his manager. Caliri, a regular customer at the store who came in to buy lottery tickets, was recognized by store employees and told police they would call when he came back.

On July 6, Caliri returned to the store and was arrested.
