What makes this guy so different? Is that what they do with parents who leave their kids alone at home while they work in Twinsburg?

Who leaves a 9 year old home alone? I have a 7 and 9 year old and would never think about leaving them alone!

What is the age that kids are allowed to stay home by themselves?

If you feel your 9 year old is mature and responsible enough to stay at home, can take care of themself, and knows emergency procedures, what is the issue? We don't know how long she was left home or expected to be by herself. So do not condemn the father without knowing all the facts. And if a parent leaves a child at home who does not meet the criteria above, then they will have to deal with the consequences from law enforcement, child services, etc. Now in this situation, if the girl called 911, maybe she wasn't responsible enough to be alone. But don't pass judgement on this father.
