Whoever said blood is thicker than water needs to read this story.

Caleb Pennington, 29, of Reynoldsburg was forced to be at a trial that wasn't really for him. On March 19, he went to police to take care of the situation. His younger brother, who has not been named, was cited for running a red light a week earlier and used his brother's personal information to get out of trouble.

Pennington told police he's been in some trouble before but was trying to get his life back on track and his name cleared.

He gave officers his brother's description and told them he lived in the Twinsburg area. Officers did some searching and found the brother had a suspended license. When they played back video from the traffic stop it confirmed Pennington's story and even recorded a person in the back seat asking if police knew who the brother really was.

Charges against Pennington were dismissed.
